Dr. Berman is Pathologist at the Toronto General Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is the scientific advisor of the Princess Margaret Cancer Biobank and an assistant professor at the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto.

As an experimental pathologist actively involved in translational research and clinical trials at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Dr. Berman has extensive experience with various approaches, including immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and image analysis, for assessment of the immune cell microenvironment within human tissue samples. More specifically, his laboratory investigates the basic cellular pathways and processes that maintain proper growth and differentiation in tissues under the control of sex hormones with emphases on breast cancer studies.
